Episode 133 : Craving
This podcast is about having affairs. And having an affair is about craving. We hash it out. Plus, Patrick gets preachy!

Wow, really high end episode guys. Lots of maturity and insights here. Good stuff.
As a guy who often struggles with super high sex drive I can also attest that having one sex fix would do absolutely nothing, and just feed the craving more than anything.
Interestingly enough, I have a friend who is a neuropsychologist, and he says that ones sex drive oscillates depending on how much attention we give to our craving to possess someone, So the loner in high school who agonizes every day about how much he needs a girlfriend is going to feel like he has a more pronounced sex drive than someone who has a nice assortment of healthy hobbies or whatever. Once again just evidence of the fact that our perception of the world is heavily influenced by how much we ruminate over specific subjects.
Also Patrick’s preaching rung true for me for the most part, and i found his titanic analogy to fit the bill pretty well; sorry Gwen, haha.

Infidelity NEVER helps any relationship and also effects relationships outside the marriage or partnership. Any guy who tries to rationalize his motives is fooling himself. I’ve never seen evidence to the contrary and I’m not about to use the French as an example for anything other than wine and cheese. And doesn’t Japan still have the highest rate of suicide?

This has to be one of my favourite episodes so far, and I’ve listened to almost all of them over the years! So I just wanted to say well done.
